Terms of Use for customers
Effective date: [effective date] · Operator: [Company name] · Questions: [contact email]
1. Who we are
[Company name] ("we", "the platform") provides software that lets independent food sellers publish a storefront and receive preorders. We are a technology provider. We are not the seller of the food, and we do not prepare, store, deliver or inspect it.
2. Your order is a request
When you place an order, you are sending a preorder to the seller. Depending on the store, the seller confirms it automatically or reviews it first. An order is only agreed once the seller confirms it, and the seller may decline or cancel it, for example if an item runs out.
3. Payment
You pay the seller directly, at pickup or by the method the seller shows you. The platform does not collect or hold your payment, and does not set the seller's prices.
4. The seller is responsible for the food
The seller is responsible for the food they sell: its preparation, safety, labelling, allergen information, licences and compliance with the food laws that apply to them. Product descriptions, allergen and dietary information are provided by the seller. If you have an allergy or a dietary requirement, contact the seller before ordering and do not rely only on the information shown on the page.
5. Pickup
Pickup times and places are set by the seller. Please arrive within the chosen time and contact the seller if you need to change your plans. Rules about late pickup, cancellations and refunds are the seller's and are shown in the store policies where provided.
6. Using the site
Please give accurate contact details and do not misuse the service: no automated ordering, no attempts to disrupt it, and no unlawful content in notes to sellers. We may limit or block access that harms the service or other people.
7. Our liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the food, for the seller's acts or omissions, or for losses caused by a seller not fulfilling an order. Nothing here limits rights that the law gives you and that cannot be limited.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the effective date above shows the current version. Questions about these terms: [contact email].
